Case Studies

Three automations from real projects – anonymised, but concrete: the starting point, the solution, the result.
Social Media · Make.com + Buffer

Social media publishing on autopilot

A service business runs several social media channels – until now each one by hand, one at a time, whenever there happened to be a spare moment.

Starting point

Posts were published channel by channel, one at a time. It cost hours every week, the frequency was irregular – and in busy weeks social media dropped off the radar entirely.

Solution

A content calendar in the form of a simple table is the only thing that needs maintaining. A Make.com scenario reads new entries, prepares the text and image for each channel and hands them over to Buffer – where the posts are scheduled and published across all connected channels. An approval step remains built in.

Result

A consistent presence across every channel without daily manual work: one place to maintain instead of many logins, a predictable frequency – and the team keeps full control through the approval step.
Tools used: Make.com, Buffer, existing social media channels.
Sales · Email automation + dashboard

Sales dashboard with automatic email import

In one sales team, enquiries and orders arrived by email – and stayed there. There was no shared view of the pipeline.

Starting point

Every enquiry sat in an individual employee's inbox. Whoever needed to follow up went on gut feeling – and when someone was on holiday, no one knew what was still open.

Solution

The sales inbox is read automatically: enquiries are identified, the relevant data (sender, request, status) is extracted and written into a sales pipeline. A dashboard shows open items, their status and due follow-up dates in real time.

Result

No enquiry falls through the cracks any more: the team works through a visible pipeline rather than separate inboxes, following up follows a system – and management can see the current status without having to ask.
Tools used: automated email reading, pipeline database, live dashboard.
Retail · PDF extraction + SSH connection

Automatic price updates in the online shop

A retailer receives supplier price lists as PDFs – hundreds of line items, several times a year, until now transferred into the shop by hand.

Starting point

New price lists had to be typed in by hand: error-prone, slow – and until the shop was updated, sales ran on outdated prices for days on end. That cost margin directly.

Solution

The price PDFs are read in automatically, articles and prices are extracted and reconciled with the product master data. Pricing rules (margin, rounding) calculate the sale prices; the transfer into the shop system runs over a secured SSH server connection. Outliers land on a review list, and every change is logged.

Result

Prices are up to date the moment the list arrives rather than days later, typos are a thing of the past, the margin stays protected – and people only review the cases that genuinely need attention.
Tools used: automatic PDF extraction, pricing rules, SSH connection to the shop system, change log.
